Board Chair Bio

Linda Rothermel, CCIM, is president and founder of Renaissance Real Estate Group, an Atlanta-based company specializing in commercial real estate investment, development, and historic preservation. The company focuses on property investment in Atlanta’s intown neighborhoods and urban core. Linda holds the Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation, held by less than six percent of commercial real estate professionals nationwide.

Linda has served the Cool Girls organization in numerous capacities. She served on the Executive Committee of the Board for two years, in addition to chairing two committees. Linda first became involved in Cool Girls by volunteering in the elementary after-school programs on a weekly basis for several years.

Previously, Linda served on the board of directors for the American Cancer Society in Atlanta. She was elected to the Executive Committee of the Board as Vice President of Volunteer Services and received an award in recognition of her contributions.

Her experience with youth development has included volunteering as a tutor/mentor for three students aged 12 to 14. In addition, she is enjoying her eighth year as a Sunday School teacher. She also led a 12-week Sunday School series for four years, in which more than 100 elementary school-age children participated annually. Her civic activities have included chairing the Membership Committee for the Industry Council of The Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation. She also volunteered as a citizen member of a Re-Zoning Task Force for three years. She maintains memberships in the Atlanta Preservation Center, CREW-Atlanta, and Southface Energy Institute.
