What Cool Girls Are Saying

Briandra“Cool Girls means a lot to me. It’s a place where you can express your feelings and have fun. It’s also a place where you can talk about things that are on your mind. Cool Girls is where I can come and feel comfortable.”

Are You Interested in Becoming a Cool Girls Volunteer?

Please Fill out our volunteer application here, or Download the Volunteer Application and Background Check Forms

Volunteer orientations are held every third Thursday of the month. Please call our office for event locations. We request that you complete your volunteer application prior to attending a volunteer orientation and we appreciate your interest in serving with Cool Girls!

Volunteers play a crucial role in support of our holistic effort to change outcomes for girls living in poverty. Volunteers tutor girls during our after school program. Under the supervision of Cool Girls staff volunteers provide invaluable instruction to insure girls have the academic support needed to be active engaged learners. Volunteers also support our Cool Tech by working in small groups to assist girls as they navigate the World Wide Web and use ThinkFinity the Verizon Wireless technology education program. Cool Sisters provide one to one mentoring to Cool Girls, exposing them to a broader range of multi cultural experiences.

You can play a vital role in our organization:

COOL GIRLS CLUB – Lead a small group discussion with girls to provide important information for positive life skills development.

COOL SCHOLARS – Assist in homework preparation and Standardized Test preparation.

COOL SISTERS – Take advantage of this rewarding experience and make a one year commitment to mentoring a Cool Girl- you can change the life of a girl.

COOL TECH – Work with our Georgia Tech partnership to bridge the digital divide between boys and girls, make technology fun and interactive.

EMPOWER ME! SUMMER CAMP – Volunteer during our day camp to tell girls about your career, education and life. Work with the girls to develop an entrepreneurial project.

FIELD TRIPS – Come and see Atlanta through the eyes of Cool Girls, chaperone during our weekday afternoon or weekend excursions around Atlanta.

Shopping Days – Volunteer with our partners at the Episcopal Church of St. Peter and St. Paul to provide retail assistance to girls as they shop for back to school items. Volunteer to work in our Holiday Store, where girls shop for presents for themselves and their families.
